Collection, circa 1903-circa 1918, of material of Andrew Jackson, a 1913 graduate of the Michigan College of Mines in Houghton, Michigan. Includes photograph albums with captions of family photographs of the Jackson and Rowe families, local scenery, student field trips and activities at the Michigan College of Mines (including snowball fights and athletic team photographs), and scenes of road construction. Also includes loose photographs of family members, field notebooks, two diplomas from the Michigan College of Mines and several first aid certificates.

Andrew Jackson was a 1913 graduate of the Michigan College of Mines in Houghton, Michigan and worked as a road engineer after graduation. In 1901 Michigan Mining School (now Michigan Technological University) in Houghton, Michigan received funding for two additional buildings. The Civil and Mining Engineering Building, was built at a cost of $28,880, was a two-story hip-roofed structure with a five-story tower centered on the front.
